Seeing and Seen

Seeing and Seen ©2020, 2.5 x 3 inches closed, front and back cover. Coptic bound single sheets. Collage and drawing. I am happy spending most of my time alone, but during the pandemic I realized how important it is for me to spend some time with my friends. I want to see them, to understand them in their complexity (or at least try) and to be seen by them. Blog post about the making of this book here.

People sometimes regard each other. Some are open to connection, some are hesitant, some look away.

Lives are complicated, there are memories and dreams.

The way forward in a relationship is never clear.

Our past affects how we see things today.

There is joy and sadness to share.

It's hard to find meaning.
